Scoping Exercise Reports – Zambia & Zimbabwe (2021)

  • Resource

In 2021, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe undertook a scopinge exercise to to develop a greater understanding of the national ecosystem assessment process within each of their national contexts, and to identify if a national ecosystem assessment accompanied by a national science-policy platform would be useful tools to support decision making on biodiversity and ecosystem services.

A stakeholder-driven process was implemented to explore national needs and priorities for a national ecosystem assessment in each partner country, and how assessment findings will be used. Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe also identified key capacity needs required to implement national ecosystem assessments.
